Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)

VFDs offered as retrofits are pre-designed packages, dedicated to replace certain travelling inverter models. Replacing the old travelling inverter with next generation model is made as fast and easy as possible with a package designed ready for installation.

Latest generation of VFDs provide smooth usability and performance with stepless control and can this way reduce the wear and tear of mechanical parts. Replacing VFD improves the reliability of a crane and make it easier to obtain spare parts in the future.

Compatibility and restrictions

• This is a replacement package, targeted to replace older travelling VFD, so only compatible for cranes equipped with this technology
• Variable packages based on control voltage (48V, 115V or 230V)
• For some VFDs, the package selected depends on

  • Brake resistor: internal or external
