Brake Monitoring Units
TRUCONNECT® Brake Monitoring uses a condition monitoring device to collect the status of brake air gap, mechanical and electrical faults from the electromagnetic disc brakes. The
service provides visibility into current brake condition, estimates remaining service life and indicates brake faults.
The data is transmitted to the Konecranes Remote Data Center and made visible on Konecranes Portal. Brake Monitoring information is used in predictive maintenance and can also be used for brake maintenance planning.
Compatibility with different equipment types
- Compatible with all CXT models except CXT7 (brake components are located in the bridge cubicle)
Other specifications / restrictions
- Note! Brake monitoring measures the opening current required to open a disc brake, which gives an estimate of brake air cap and therefore indication of wear in brake friction material
- Only for hoists with disc brakes, not compatible with shoe brakes
- Maximum brake control current 2 A
- Autotransformer is needed, if crane main voltage (3-phase) is 208, 230 or over 600 VAC
Package content
- BMU, cubicle (only in dedicated packages), cables, mounting parts and documentation
