Hook Operated Limit Switches
A limit switch is a critical component of overhead crane safety. Limit switches are electromechanical devices that regulate everything from household appliances to industrial machinery. For an overhead crane, they provide solid and established points of reference for maintaining efficiency, reliability and safety standards.
Hook operated limit switch provides additional safety for hoisting motion and reduces wear of mechanical hoisting components by slowing down to motion before the upper limit. This way, it can also improve vertical hook reach.
Compatibility and restrictions
- For all CXT hoists, including all trolleys, no drilling or welding is necessary.
- The hook operated limit switch for CXT1/2/3/4 hoists is attached to the frame of the hoist by means of bolts or U-bolts.
- The hook operated limit switch for CXT5/6/7 is attached to the rope. Note that the attachment piece has two optional slots, depending on the diameter of the rope
- Suitable for all supply- and control voltages up to 250VAC and can switch maximum 1,5A.
- Suitable for rope diameters 6,5 ... 15 mm
